Where & When?
The workshops are held in Lexington, SC on Saturdays from 9 am - 2 pm.
You can find a list of dates for each class at the top of the blog under Dates.
Once you have registered, you will receive more information about address of location, parking, etc.
I really wish I had a cool studio where we could meet for these workshops, but for now, they are held at our family lake house. You'll just have to use your imagination and pretend that we are someplace more like this:

What is the size of the class?
Class size is limited to 5 people.
Due to the nature of the workshop, class size is limited to ensure that each participant receives adequate attention. My goal is for you to leave the workshop feeling confident with the specific skills that were taught that day.
What do I need to bring with me?
Because each class features different projects, there is a different list of materials required for each workshop. After registration, you will receive an e-mail with all of the information you need. You can also access the list of supplies to bring at the top of the blog under What to Bring.
What if I don't have a sewing machine?
No problem! I have three machines available for your use. Please let me know at the time of registration that you require a machine and I will be happy to reserve one of them for you.
What if I have no sewing experience?
Then the Sewing 101 Workshops are the perfect place to start! These beginner classes are designed for those who have never sewed a stitch before in their life or for those just starting out. The goal of the workshop is for you to learn how to use your machine, become familiar with the terms and techniques more commonly used in sewing, and leave that day feeling confident and excited about diving into your own sewing projects!
What if I want to take one of the Intermediate Classes without taking the Beginner Class?
If you feel comfortable using your sewing machine and have some sewing experience, but are interested in one of the intermediate classes, please email me. We can talk and find out if you feel like the intermediate workshops would be a good fit for you.
How do I sign up?
If you are interested in registering for a workshop, please contact me at getyourstitchonworkshop@gmail.com
Sign up is first-come, first-serve. If the class you are interested in is full, you can choose to be placed on a waiting list in case of a cancellation. Once on the waiting list, you will also have first dibs on the next date scheduled for the workshop.
When and how do I pay?
Once you have sent me an e-mail that you are interested in signing up for a class, I will send you an invoice via Paypal. Once payment has cleared, you will officially be registered for the workshop.
Please note that payments are non-refundable, except for the case of an emergency situation. However, payments are transferable to another date or workshop if you are unable to attend your original date.
What if I'm not "local?"
There have been ladies who have driven from Charleston, Greenville, and Charlotte to participate in past workshops. Some of them sign up with a friend to ride together to make a fun girls' day out of it. I've never had a class that wasn't fun and love meeting new people from all over the state so I hope you will feel comfortable enough to come participate too! :)
